Product Specifications

The 40/100G QSFP28 SRBD Optical Transceiver is a high-performance, multi-rate module designed for short-range communication over multimode fiber (MMF). This transceiver supports both 40G and 100G Ethernet standards, utilizing a dual-wavelength VCSEL bi-directional optical interface operating at 850nm and 900nm. It offers an aggregate bandwidth exceeding 100Gbps and is compatible with QSFP28 MSA and IEEE 802.3bm standards. Designed to operate over OM3 MMF up to 70 meters and OM4 MMF up to 100 meters, the transceiver is ideal for data center interconnects, switch and router connections, and backplane applications.

The module operates on a single +3.3V power supply with power consumption below 3.5W and functions reliably within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. With a duplex LC optical interface, it allows the reuse of existing cabling infrastructure. The transceiver employs PAM4 modulation for two 50Gbps electrical channels, transmitting and receiving data optically over a single LC duplex fiber. Its advanced design enables compatibility with proprietary protocols, making it a versatile choice for high-speed networking environments. Additionally, it complies with RoHS standards, underscoring its environmentally friendly construction.

The CT-Q40100-SRBD is a pluggable QSFP28 SR transceiver designed for duplex short-range 40G and 100G Ethernet links. It multiplexes four 25.78125 Gb/s electrical lanes into two 50 Gb/s PAM4 optical channels, using bi-directional VCSEL technology at 850 nm and 900 nm wavelengths. Transmission distances reach up to 70 m on OM3 MMF and 100 m on OM4 MMF. The module supports a single +3.3 V power supply with power dissipation under 3.5 W, and operates in a 0 °C to 70 °C case temperature range. It uses a duplex LC connector for optical connections and a 38-contact QSFP28 edge connector for electrical interface.
