The 40Gbps QSFP+ SR4 Optical Transceiver is designed for short-range data communication over multimode fiber (MMF) up to 100 meters using OM3 fiber and 150 meters with OM4 fiber. It supports four independent transmit and receive channels, each capable of a data rate of 10Gbps, resulting in an aggregate bandwidth of 40Gbps. The module integrates an MTP/MPO connector, ensuring efficient signal alignment and transmission, and operates on a single +3.3V power supply with a maximum power consumption of 1.5W. Compliant with QSFP+ MSA standards, this transceiver is ideal for data center interconnects, Infiniband QDR/DDR/SDR, and 40G Ethernet applications.
The module employs VCSEL laser technology for transmission and PIN photodetectors for reception, with data signals internally terminated to Common Mode Logic (CML) levels. It supports advanced features like digital diagnostic monitoring via a 2-wire serial interface, enabling real-time tracking of parameters such as temperature, voltage, and optical power.
