The 10Gbps Bi-Directional SFP+ Optical Transceiver is engineered for long-distance data communication over single-mode fiber (SMF) up to 100 kilometers. It supports data rates from 9.95Gbps to 11.3Gbps and features a cooled EML laser transmitter paired with a high-sensitivity APD receiver for robust performance. Available with configurations of either 1490nm/1550nm or 1550nm/1490nm wavelengths, the transceiver uses a single LC connector for bi-directional transmission, making it highly efficient for 10G Ethernet, SONET OC-192/SDH, and 10G Fiber Channel applications.
Operating on a single +3.3V power supply with a power consumption of less than 3W, the transceiver is RoHS-compliant and designed to function in temperatures ranging from 0°C to 70°C. The transmitter delivers an average optical power output of 0dBm to +5dBm, with an extinction ratio of 8.2dB, while the receiver ensures reliable signal reception with a sensitivity of -23dBm and a loss of signal detection range of -34dBm to -24dBm. Advanced diagnostic monitoring via a 2-wire interface provides real-time tracking of key parameters such as temperature, voltage, bias current, and optical power, making it a dependable choice for long-range, high-speed optical networks.
These compact, hot-pluggable SFP+ modules support data rates from 9.95 to 11.3 Gbps and comply with IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-ZR, SFF-8431, SFF-8432, and SFF-8472 standards. They use a simplex LC connector: BX-100U transmits at 1490 nm and receives at 1550 nm, while BX-100D transmits at 1550 nm and receives at 1490 nm. Designed for 100 km reach, they incorporate a cooled EML laser, APD receiver, and digital diagnostics monitoring (DDMI) via a 2-wire interface. Power consumption is <3 W on a single 3.3 V supply, with an operating case temperature range of 0 °C to +70 °C.
