The 14.025Gbps SFP+ Optical Transceiver is a high-performance module designed for long-wavelength transmission over single-mode fiber (SMF) up to 10 kilometers. It integrates a 1310nm DFB laser transmitter and a PIN photodiode receiver, making it ideal for applications in 4.25G, 8.5G, and 14.025G Fibre Channel networks. The transceiver adheres to the SFP+ Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and is equipped with a duplex LC receptacle, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of network equipment.
This transceiver operates on a single +3.3V power supply and supports hot-pluggable functionality, enabling convenient deployment and maintenance. It features a real-time digital diagnostic monitoring interface compliant with SFF-8472, allowing users to monitor operating parameters such as temperature, voltage, bias current, and optical power. Designed for standard operating conditions, it supports temperatures from 0°C to +70°C and is compatible with RoHS standards for environmentally friendly use.
Optically, the transmitter operates within a center wavelength range of 1270nm to 1350nm, with an average output power ranging from -5dBm to -0.5dBm. The receiver supports a sensitivity of -12dBm and a maximum input power of 0.5dBm, with a wide wavelength acceptance from 1260nm to 1600nm. Loss of Signal (LOS) functionality is integrated for enhanced diagnostic capabilities, enabling precise monitoring of signal quality.
Electrically, the module provides a differential impedance of 100Ω and supports input swing differentials ranging from 180mV to 850mV. Advanced timing features include a Tx Disable Assert Time of 10µs and a Tx Fault Assert Time of 100µs. Internally AC-coupled inputs and outputs ensure seamless integration with host systems. The transceiver also includes EEPROM-based digital diagnostics for real-time monitoring and troubleshooting.
