The 100Gbps QSFP28 ER4 Lite Optical Transceiver is engineered for long-distance data communication over single-mode fiber (SMF) up to 30 kilometers without Forward Error Correction (FEC) and 40 kilometers with FEC. Operating on a 4-channel LAN WDM design, the module converts four 25Gbps electrical inputs into optical signals, multiplexing them for 100Gbps transmission. The transceiver features cooled EML lasers for precise wavelength control and high-sensitivity APD receivers, ensuring reliable performance for 100G Ethernet applications.
This transceiver operates on a single +3.3V power supply with a maximum power consumption of 4.5W and is compatible with IEEE 802.3ba and QSFP28 MSA standards. It provides advanced digital diagnostics for monitoring operational parameters like temperature, voltage, and optical power, ensuring optimal performance. The hot-pluggable QSFP28 form factor and duplex LC connector simplify deployment and integration. Compliant with RoHS standards and laser safety regulations, this transceiver is ideal for applications like 100GBASE-ER4 Ethernet links, Infiniband interconnects, and client-side telecom connections.
This hot-pluggable module multiplexes 4 × 10.3125 Gbps electrical lanes into 4 CWDM optical channels (1271, 1291, 1311, 1331 nm) and combines them for a total 40Gbps optical link. On the receive side, it demultiplexes the optical signal into 4 electrical outputs. It complies with IEEE 802.3ba 40GBASE-ER4, QSFP+ MSA, and Infiniband QDR/DDR standards, supporting up to 40 km over G.652 SMF with a duplex LC interface. The module integrates DFB lasers, APD/TIA receivers, and a digital diagnostics interface. Power consumption is up to 3.5 W on a single 3.3 V supply, with an operating case temperature range of 0 °C to +70 °C.
