The transmitter provides an average optical output power ranging from -8.4dBm to +2.4dBm, with an extinction ratio of 2.0dB, while the receiver offers a sensitivity of -10dBm and an overload threshold of +2.4dBm. Advanced diagnostics, including Loss of Signal (LOS) detection and real-time digital monitoring, ensure reliable operation and facilitate proactive maintenance.
This hot-pluggable transceiver supports up to 28.05 Gbps line rate for 32G Fibre Channel and is backward compatible with 16GFC. It operates over OM3 MMF up to 70 m and OM4 MMF up to 100 m using a duplex LC connector. The module integrates a VCSEL transmitter, PIN/TIA receiver, and MCU controller, with power consumption <1 W on a single 3.3 V supply.
