The 100Gbps QSFP28 BX-80 Transceiver is a high-performance module designed for ultra-long-distance communication over single-mode fiber (SMF) up to 80 kilometers. It supports 100GBASE-ZR4 and OTU4 with a line rate of 103.125Gbps and 111.81Gbps, respectively. This module features 4x25Gbps LAN WDM Blue or Red Side TOSA and LAN WDM Purple or White Side ROSA with SOA. It uses a simplex LC connector for efficient signal transmission and adheres to IEEE 802.3 standards, ITU-T G.959.1, and QSFP28 MSA specifications, ensuring compatibility with high-speed networking systems. It is ideal for applications in data centers and enterprise networks requiring long-range connectivity.
Operating with a single +3.3V power supply and a maximum power consumption of 6.5W, the module supports a case operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. The transmitter provides a total average launch power between 8dBm and 12.5dBm, with a high extinction ratio of 6dB. The receiver has a sensitivity of -28dBm per lane and supports advanced diagnostic monitoring via an I2C interface. This hot-swappable transceiver is RoHS compliant, making it an environmentally friendly choice for demanding network environments. The CT-QSFP28-BX-80U and CT-QSFP28-BX-80D are long-haul bidirectional QSFP28 optical modules designed for 100GBASE-ZR4 and OTU4 transport. Each module multiplexes 4×25.78125 Gb/s electrical channels into 4 LAN-WDM optical channels, transmitted over a single fiber via simplex LC. The BX-80U transmits on 1273–1286 nm and receives on 1295–1310 nm, while the BX-80D uses the reverse. Modules must be paired for full-duplex operation. Supporting distances up to 80 km with FEC, they operate from a single +3.3 V supply, consume up to 6.5 W, and include digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM/DOM).
