The CT-QSFP28-BX-80U and CT-QSFP28-BX-80D are long-haul bidirectional QSFP28 optical modules designed for 100GBASE-ZR4 and OTU4 transport. Each module multiplexes 4×25.78125 Gb/s electrical channels into 4 LAN-WDM optical channels, transmitted over a single fiber via simplex LC. The BX-80U transmits on 1273–1286 nm and receives on 1295–1310 nm, while the BX-80D uses the reverse. Modules must be paired for full-duplex operation. Supporting distances up to 80 km with FEC, they operate from a single +3.3 V supply, consume up to 6.5 W, and include digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM/DOM).
