The 25Gbps SFP28 SR Transceiver is a high-performance optical module designed for short-range communication over multimode fiber (MMF) with a maximum link length of 70 meters using OM3 fiber and 100 meters using OM4 fiber. It features an 850nm VCSEL transmitter and a GaAs PIN photodiode receiver, providing reliable data transfer at a rate of 25.78Gbps. This module is ideal for applications such as inter-rack connections, high-speed servers, high-performance computing clusters, and SANs. It adheres to SFP28 MSA, SFF-8431, and SFF-8432 standards, ensuring compatibility with modern networking systems.
Operating on a +3.3V power supply, the transceiver consumes less than 1W, making it energy efficient. It supports a commercial temperature range of 0°C to +70°C, with an industrial option available for operation between -40°C and +85°C. The hot-pluggable design with a dual LC interface simplifies integration into existing systems, and its compliance with RoHS underscores an environmentally friendly design.
Optically, the transmitter provides a center wavelength between 840nm and 860nm, with an average optical power ranging from -5dBm to +2.4dBm.
