The 40Gbps QSFP+ SR4 Optical Transceiver is designed for short-range data communication over multimode fiber (MMF) up to 100 meters using OM3 fiber and 150 meters with OM4 fiber. It supports four independent transmit and receive channels, each capable of a data rate of 10Gbps, resulting in an aggregate bandwidth of 40Gbps. The module integrates an MTP/MPO connector, ensuring efficient signal alignment and transmission, and operates on a single +3.3V power supply with a maximum power consumption of 1.5W. Compliant with QSFP+ MSA standards, this transceiver is ideal for data center interconnects, Infiniband QDR/DDR/SDR, and 40G Ethernet applications.
The module employs VCSEL laser technology for transmission and PIN photodetectors for reception, with data signals internally terminated to Common Mode Logic (CML) levels. It supports advanced features like digital diagnostic monitoring via a 2-wire serial interface, enabling real-time tracking of parameters such as temperature, voltage, and optical power. This parallel full-duplex module integrates 4 transmit and 4 receive lanes, each operating up to 10.3125 Gbps for an aggregate 40Gbps link. It complies with IEEE 802.3ba 40GBASE-SR4, QSFP+ MSA (SFF-8436), and Infiniband standards. Designed for OM3 MMF up to 100 m, it uses a 12-fiber MPO/MTP connector. Typical power consumption is 1.5 W on a single 3.3 V supply, with an operating case temperature range of 0 °C to +70 °C. Integrated digital diagnostics monitoring provides real-time parameter tracking.
