The 1.25Gbps Compact SFP (CSFP) Optical Transceiver is designed for long-distance, bi-directional data communication over single-mode fiber (SMF) up to 40 kilometers. It integrates a DFB laser and a PIN photo-detector, supporting dual-channel operation for a data rate of up to 1250Mbps. Encased in a compact, hot-pluggable SFP form factor with an LC/UPC optical interface, this module is suitable for Point-to-Point FTTH applications, switched backplane networks, router/server interfaces, and switch-to-switch communication. It complies with the CSFP MSA and SFF-8472 standards, ensuring compatibility with conventional SFP systems and minimizing electromagnetic interference (EMI) through its metal enclosure.
Operating on a single +3.3V power supply, the transceiver is energy-efficient, consuming a maximum current of 450mA. It supports an operational temperature range from 0°C to +70°C, making it suitable for a wide range of commercial applications. The module’s advanced diagnostics capabilities, including Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM), enable real-time monitoring of critical parameters such as temperature, voltage, bias current, and optical power. Alarm and warning thresholds provide early alerts for deviations from optimal operating conditions.
Optically, the transmitter operates with an output power ranging from -5dBm to 0dBm and features an extinction ratio of 9dB, ensuring clear signal differentiation.
