The 10Gbps 850nm SFP+ Optical Transceiver is a high-performance module designed for short-distance data communication over multimode fiber (MMF) up to 300 meters. Encased in a compact SFP+ form factor with a duplex LC connector, it integrates an 850nm VCSEL laser and a PIN photodetector for reliable optical transmission. The transceiver supports data rates of up to 10.3125Gbps, making it suitable for applications such as Ethernet and Fiber Channel networks. Compliance with SFF-8472 and IEC-60825 ensures safety and compatibility, while its RoHS certification underscores its environmental responsibility.
The transceiver operates efficiently within a supply voltage range of 3.15V to 3.45V and a commercial temperature range of 0°C to +70°C. It consumes less than 1W of power, offering energy-efficient performance. Designed to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI) and provide excellent electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection, this module is a dependable choice for high-performance networking environments.
Optically, the transmitter operates at a center wavelength of 850nm, with an average output power ranging from -5dBm to -1dBm and an extinction ratio of 3.0dB. The receiver is optimized for wavelengths centered around 850nm, offering a sensitivity of -11.5dBm and an overload threshold of -3dBm. Diagnostic features such as Loss of Signal (LOS) detection ensure enhanced monitoring and fault detection for stable operations.
Electrically, the module supports a differential impedance of 100Ω, with input swing differentials ranging from 180mV to 700mV for the transmitter and output swing differentials from 300mV to 800mV for the receiver. Advanced diagnostics adhering to SFF-8472 standards enable real-time monitoring of key parameters such as temperature, voltage, bias current, transmitted optical power, and received optical power. Alarm and warning flags provide alerts for deviations from factory-set operational ranges.
