The 100Gbps QSFP28 ER4 Lite Optical Transceiver is engineered for long-distance data communication over single-mode fiber (SMF) up to 30 kilometers without Forward Error Correction (FEC) and 40 kilometers with FEC. Operating on a 4-channel LAN WDM design, the module converts four 25Gbps electrical inputs into optical signals, multiplexing them for 100Gbps transmission. The transceiver features cooled EML lasers for precise wavelength control and high-sensitivity APD receivers, ensuring reliable performance for 100G Ethernet applications.
This transceiver operates on a single +3.3V power supply with a maximum power consumption of 4.5W and is compatible with IEEE 802.3ba and QSFP28 MSA standards. It provides advanced digital diagnostics for monitoring operational parameters like temperature, voltage, and optical power, ensuring optimal performance. The hot-pluggable QSFP28 form factor and duplex LC connector simplify deployment and integration. The CT-QSFP28-ER4-L is a 100Gb/s optical transceiver designed for Ethernet 100GBASE-ER4 Lite applications. It multiplexes four 25 Gb/s electrical channels into four LAN-WDM optical channels (1295–1310 nm), combined into a single SMF link. On the receiver side, APD-based ROSA ensures high sensitivity for extended reach. The module supports 30 km reach without FEC and 40 km with FEC, operates from a +3.3 V supply with ≤ 4.5 W power, and provides built-in digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM/DOM). It is built for QSFP28 MSA compliance and RoHS-6 standards.
