Product Specifications

The QSFP DD LR8 400G is a high-performance 400Gbps QSFP-DD optical transceiver designed for long-range communication over single-mode fiber (SMF) up to 10 kilometers. Utilizing an 8-lane MUX/DEMUX architecture, the module converts 8 channels of 50Gbps (PAM4) electrical input into optical signals and multiplexes them into a single 400Gbps optical output. On the receiver side, the process is reversed to deliver 8 channels of 50Gbps (PAM4) electrical output. This module is compliant with IEEE 802.3bs (400GBASE-LR8), QSFP-DD MSA and CMIS4.0 specifications, making it suitable for Ethernet, data center interconnect, enterprise, and InfiniBand networking applications.

The module features dual LC connectors, operates with a single +3.3V power supply, and supports a temperature range from 0°C to 70°C. With a maximum power consumption of 14.5W, it ensures efficient operation for high-speed optical networks. Its precise optical characteristics include a lane wavelength range from 1272.55nm to 1310.19nm, high extinction ratios, and reliable sensitivity. Designed for scalability and robust performance, the CT-400G-QDD-LR8 meets the stringent requirements of modern optical communication networks while being fully RoHS compliant.

The CT-400G-QDD-LR8 is a hot-pluggable QSFP-DD optical module designed for 10 km Ethernet applications. It provides 400 Gb/s aggregate bandwidth by multiplexing 8×50 Gb/s PAM4 electrical lanes into 8 optical LAN-WDM channels, combined into a dual LC interface. On the receiver side, the module de-multiplexes the optical input into 8 channels and converts them to 50 Gb/s PAM4 electrical outputs. Host-based FEC is required to support 10 km transmission. The module operates on a single +3.3 V supply, consumes up to 14.5 W, and integrates digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM) with CMIS 4.0 management.
