The 40Gbps QSFP+ ZR4 Optical Transceiver is engineered for ultra-long-distance communication over single-mode fiber (SMF) up to 80 kilometers. It uses a 4-channel LAN WDM design, multiplexing four 10Gbps electrical inputs into a single optical output and reversing the process on the receiver side. Each channel operates at precise wavelengths within the LAN WDM grid, including 1296nm, 1300nm, 1305nm, and 1309nm, as defined by ITU-T G694.2. The module features a duplex LC connector for optical interfacing and a 38-pin connector for electrical connectivity, ensuring compatibility with standard networking systems.
This transceiver operates with a single +3.3V power supply, consuming a maximum of 5W. It includes advanced digital diagnostics accessible via a two-wire interface for monitoring key performance parameters. Designed to withstand challenging environments, the transceiver offers reliable operation across a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. Fully compliant with 40GBASE-ZR4 standards and QSFP MSA specifications, it is ideal for metro networks, data center interconnects, and long-haul Ethernet applications, providing robust, high-speed communication in demanding network environments.
