The 100Gbps QSFP28 BIDI Optical Transceiver is designed for efficient short-range communication over single-mode fiber (SMF) up to 10 kilometers. Utilizing bi-directional optical signaling, it operates on a simplex LC connector and integrates a 4x25Gbps NRZ electrical interface. The module supports 100GBASE-LR BIDI and is fully compliant with QSFP28 MSA, IEEE 802.3cu, and SFF-8679 standards. Equipped with an EML laser and PIN receiver, it ensures robust and reliable performance for high-speed data transmission.

Operating with a single +3.3V power supply, the transceiver consumes a maximum power of 4.5W and supports operating temperatures ranging from 0°C to 70°C. Advanced digital diagnostic monitoring (DDM) enables real-time access to operating parameters like temperature, voltage, bias current, and optical power. With features like hardware TX disable and RX loss of signal detection, the QSFP28 BIDI transceiver offers enhanced diagnostics and compatibility for data center, telecom, and enterprise networking environments.

The CT-QSFP28-BX-10U and CT-QSFP28-BX-10D are BiDi optical transceivers supporting 100GBASE-LR1 Ethernet and OTU4 rates. They map 4×25.78 Gb/s NRZ electrical lanes into a single 106.25 Gb/s PAM4 optical channel. BX-10U transmits on 1271 nm and receives at 1331 nm, while BX-10D transmits on 1331 nm and receives at 1271 nm. Designed for up to 10 km SMF links, they consume ≤ 4.5 W and integrate digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM/DOM) via I²C. The modules are housed in a QSFP28 MSA package with simplex LC interface.
