The 100Gbps QSFP28 ER4 Optical Transceiver is a high-performance module engineered for long-range data transmission over single-mode fiber (SMF), supporting distances of up to 30 kilometers without Forward Error Correction (FEC) and 40 kilometers with FEC. Operating with a 4-channel architecture, the transceiver multiplexes four lanes of 25Gbps LAN-WDM optical signals for a total aggregate bandwidth of 100Gbps. The transmitter utilizes cooled EA-DFB lasers for precise wavelength alignment, while the receiver employs APD detectors for high sensitivity. Fully compliant with Ethernet 100GBASE-ER4 standards, IEEE 802.3ba, and QSFP28 MSA specifications, it is ideal for applications in data center interconnects, telecom connections, and 100G Ethernet.
This transceiver operates on a single +3.3V power supply, consuming a maximum of 4.5W, and offers digital diagnostic monitoring for real-time insights into temperature, voltage, bias current, and optical power. Designed for commercial environments, it functions reliably within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. Featuring a hot-pluggable QSFP28 form factor and a duplex LC optical interface, the module ensures easy integration and maintenance. Its compliance with RoHS standards and Class 1 laser safety regulations further highlights its environmentally friendly and safe design, making it a reliable choice for high-speed, long-distance networking solutions.
The CT-QSFP28-ER4 is a 100GBASE-ER4 optical transceiver designed for long-range Ethernet and telecom applications. It converts four lanes of 25 Gb/s electrical data into four LAN-WDM optical channels (1295–1310 nm), multiplexed onto a single fiber. On the receive side, APD-based ROSA ensures high sensitivity for long-distance links. The module supports 30 km reach without FEC and 40 km with FEC, uses a duplex LC connector, and operates from a single +3.3 V supply with a maximum power draw of 4.5 W. Built-in DDM/DOM allows monitoring of key parameters including temperature, voltage, optical power, and bias current.
Form factor / standards: QSFP28 MSA; 100GBASE-ER4 compliant.
Data rate: 103.1 Gb/s aggregate (4×25.78125 Gb/s).
