10GBASE-BX100-D BiDi SFP+ 1550nm-TX/1490nm-RX 100km DOM Simplex LC/UPC SMF Optical Transceiver Module

This SFP is a very compact 10Gb/s optical transceiver module for serial optical communication applications at 10Gb/s. The SFP converts a 10Gb/s serial electrical data stream to 10Gb/s optical output signal and a 10Gb/s optical input signal to 10Gb/s serial electrical data streams. The high speed 10Gb/s electrical interface is fully compliant with SFI specification.

The high performance 1490/1550nm 1550/1490nm cooled EML transmitter and high sensitivity APD receiver provide superior performance for Ethernet applications at up to 10km links.

The SFP+ Module compliants with SFF-8431, SFF-8432 and IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-ZR. Digital diagnostics functions are available via a 2-wire serial interface, as specified in SFF-8472.

The fully SFP compliant form factor provides hot plug-ability, easy optical port upgrades and low EMI emission.

These bi-directional SFP+ modules support bit rates from 9.95 to 11.3 Gbps, compliant with IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-ZR, SFF-8431, and SFF-8432 standards. They use a single LC connector for both transmission and reception, with CT-SFP+BX-100U transmitting at 1490 nm and receiving at 1550 nm, while CT-SFP+BX-100D transmits at 1550 nm and receives at 1490 nm. Designed for long-haul links up to 100 km, the modules integrate a cooled EML laser, APD-based receiver, and digital diagnostics monitoring via I²C per SFF-8472. With <3 W power consumption and an operating case temperature range of 0 °C to +70 °C, they deliver stable long-distance performance.
