The 10Gbps DWDM SFP+ Optical Transceiver is designed for long-range optical communication over single-mode fiber (SMF) up to 80 kilometers. It supports data rates of up to 10.325Gbps and features an APD receiver and a temperature-stabilized DFB-EML transmitter. Housed in a hot-pluggable SFP+ form factor with a duplex LC connector, the module complies with SFP+ MSA, SFF-8431, SFF-8432, and IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-ZR standards. Digital diagnostic monitoring is supported via an I2C interface, enabling real-time performance tracking.
Operating on a single +3.3V power supply, the transceiver consumes less than 1.5W of power and operates within a case temperature range of -5°C to +70°C. Its RoHS6 compliance ensures an environmentally responsible design, while the compact and hot-pluggable footprint supports easy installation and upgrades.
Optically, the transmitter provides a center wavelength range based on a 100GHz ITU Grid in the C Band DWDM spectrum. It delivers an average output power between 0dBm and +3.5dBm, with an extinction ratio of 6.0dB. The receiver offers a sensitivity of -23dBm and a saturation power of -7dBm, supporting wavelengths from 1480nm to 1580nm. Features such as Loss of Signal (LOS) detection allow for enhanced operational monitoring, with LOS asserted at -32dBm and deasserted at -27dBm.
Electrically, the module features a differential impedance of 100Ω, supporting input swing differentials from 180mV to 700mV. It also provides output swing differentials from 350mV to 850mV, ensuring seamless integration with various host systems. Advanced diagnostics monitor parameters such as temperature, voltage, bias current, transmitted and received optical power, with built-in alarms for deviations from factory-set thresholds.

Digital diagnostics monitoring is available via I²C (per A0h/A2h maps). The case operating temperature range is −5 °C to +70 °C, and it is fully RoHS-6 and Class 1 laser compliant.
