The 10Gbps Bi-Directional SFP+ Optical Transceiver is a high-performance module designed for short-range communication over single-mode fiber (SMF) up to 10 kilometers. It supports a data rate of 10.3125Gbps, utilizing either a 1270nm DFB laser with a 1330nm PIN receiver (CT-SFP+BX-10U) or a 1330nm DFB laser with a 1270nm PIN receiver (CT-SFP+BX-10D). The transceiver operates on a single +3.3V power supply with a power dissipation of less than 1.5W and is fully compliant with SFP+ MSA, IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-LR/LW standards, and RoHS regulations.
The module offers a typical transmitter output power range of -6dBm to -1dBm with an extinction ratio of 3.5dB and a receiver sensitivity of -14.4dBm. Designed for commercial operating temperatures (0°C to 70°C), it includes advanced digital diagnostic monitoring for real-time access to temperature, voltage, bias current, and optical power parameters. The hot-pluggable SFP+ footprint and LC connector ensure easy integration into networking systems, making this transceiver an ideal choice for 10G Ethernet and similar high-speed optical communication applications.
These hot-pluggable SFP+ modules support data rates up to 11.1 Gbps and comply with IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-LR/LW, SFF-8431, and SFF-8472 standards. They use a simplex LC interface: BX-10U transmits at 1270 nm and receives at 1330 nm, while BX-10D transmits at 1330 nm and receives at 1270 nm. Designed for 10 km reach, they include digital diagnostics monitoring (DDMI) for real-time reporting of key parameters. Power dissipation is <1.5 W with a single 3.3 V supply, and operating case temperature is 0 °C to +70 °C.
