The 10Gbps 1310nm SFP+ Optical Transceiver is an advanced networking module designed for data transmission over single-mode fiber (SMF) up to 10 kilometers. It integrates a 1310nm DFB laser and a PIN photodetector in a compact SFP+ form factor with a duplex LC connector, supporting data rates of up to 10.3125Gbps. Compliant with SFF-8472 and IEC-60825 standards, this transceiver ensures safety and broad compatibility, making it suitable for applications such as Ethernet and Fiber Channel networks.
Operating efficiently on a single +3.3V power supply, the transceiver features low power dissipation of less than 1W. Its robust design includes low EMI and excellent ESD protection, ensuring reliable performance in demanding environments. The module is built for commercial use, with an operating case temperature range of -5°C to 70°C, and adheres to RoHS standards for environmental sustainability.
The optical performance of this module is optimized for clarity and reliability. The transmitter operates at a center wavelength of 1310nm, with an average output power range of -8dBm to +0.5dBm and a minimum extinction ratio of 3.5dB. The receiver supports wavelengths centered around 1310nm and offers a sensitivity of -12.5dBm with a saturation power of -3dBm. Features such as Loss of Signal (LOS) detection provide enhanced diagnostics and operational monitoring.
Electrically, the transceiver offers a differential impedance of 100Ω, with input swing differentials ranging from 180mV to 700mV. The receiver delivers output swing differentials between 300mV and 800mV, ensuring compatibility with a variety of host systems. Additional diagnostic features include real-time monitoring of key parameters such as temperature, voltage, bias current, transmitted and received optical power, all adhering to SFF-8472 standards. Alarm and warning flags provide notifications for deviations from factory-set operational ranges.
