It features two configurations: one with a 1310nm FP laser transmitter and a 1550nm PIN receiver, and the other with a 1550nm FP laser transmitter and a 1310nm PIN receiver. This module operates on a single +3.3V power supply, offering a power dissipation of 1W for energy efficiency. With an LC connector, the transceiver ensures compatibility with a variety of networking systems and is compliant with RoHS and IEC-60825 laser safety standards, making it environmentally friendly and secure for use in Ethernet, telecom, and Fiber Channel applications.

The transmitter provides an optical output power of -8dBm to -3dBm and maintains an extinction ratio between 12dB and 18dB for reliable signal clarity. The receiver operates at wavelengths of 1310nm or 1550nm and has a sensitivity of -34dBm, with overload handling up to -3dBm. Additional features include Loss of Signal (LOS) detection for enhanced diagnostics and operational monitoring. Designed to operate within commercial (0°C to +70°C) or industrial (-40°C to +85°C) temperature ranges, this transceiver is a dependable solution for high-speed optical communication in diverse environments.

The CT-MSFP-BX-40U and CT-MSFP-BX-40D are hot-pluggable SFP modules designed for bidirectional 155 Mb/s links up to 40 km on 9/125 μm SMF. They integrate 1310 nm (U) or 1550 nm (D) FP transmitters with complementary PIN photodiode receivers, making them a cost-effective solution for medium-reach optical networks. Operating on a single +3.3 V supply with <1 W power dissipation, these modules provide LVPECL-compatible electrical interfaces, excellent EMI/ESD resistance, and digital diagnostics via EEPROM. Fully compliant with IEC-60825 Class 1 laser safety and RoHS, they are available in commercial and industrial temperature versions.
