It supports data rates ranging from 9.95Gbps to 11.3Gbps, making it suitable for applications such as 10GBASE-BX Ethernet, SONET OC-192/SDH STM-I64.1, and other high-speed communication systems. This transceiver integrates a 1270nm DFB laser and PIN receiver (CT-XFP-BX-20U) or a 1330nm DFB laser and PIN receiver (CT-XFP-BX-20D) for robust performance. Housed in a hot-pluggable XFP form factor with an LC connector, it complies with XFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and IEEE 802.3ae standards.

Operating on a single +3.3V power supply with power dissipation below 2W, the transceiver is energy-efficient. It functions within a case operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C, suitable for commercial environments. The module’s advanced design includes a two-wire interface for integrated digital diagnostic monitoring (DDM), providing real-time insights into key parameters like temperature, voltage, bias current, and optical power.

Electrically, the transceiver features a differential impedance of 100Ω, supporting input swing differentials from 120mV to 820mV. It includes functionality for Transmitter Disable (TX Disable) and Fault Indicators, offering precise control and fault management. The module also supports serial EEPROM for device identification and diagnostics, accessible via the 2-wire serial interface.

Power dissipation is <1.5 W with a 3.3 V supply, and industrial-grade operation is supported from −40 °C to +85 °C.
