Specifications
The 400Gbps QSFP-DD SR8 Optical Transceiver is a high-performance module designed for short-range data communication over multimode fiber (MMF). It features 8 full-duplex channels, each capable of transmitting up to 53Gbps, resulting in an aggregate bandwidth of 400Gbps. Utilizing an 850nm VCSEL array for transmission and a PIN photodetector array for reception, this module operates over OM3 fiber for distances up to 70 meters and OM4 fiber up to 100 meters, with Forward Error Correction (FEC). The transceiver is housed in a hot-pluggable QSFP-DD form factor and uses an MPO16 APC optical connector, ensuring compatibility with modern networking systems.
Operating with a +3.3V power supply and consuming less than 8.5W, the transceiver is energy-efficient and reliable within a case operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. It incorporates internal Clock and Data Recovery (CDR) circuits on both transmitter and receiver channels for enhanced signal integrity. Digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM), accessible via a two-wire interface, allows real-time monitoring of temperature, voltage, and optical power. Fully compliant with QSFP-DD MSA standards, IEEE 802.3cd, and RoHS regulations, this transceiver is ideal for high-speed, short-range Ethernet applications in data centers and cloud networking environments.
